Jasig Screencast Factory Yields First Products
The Jasig Screenfast Factory, a floating establishment first surfacing at the Jasig 2009 Spring Conference in Dallas, has delivered its first batch of screencasts for your viewing pleasure.
In this case, the screencasts all feature uPortal and may be found on the Jasig web site under Projects>uPortal>Community>Screencasts:
http://www.jasig.org/uportal/community/uportal-screencasts
uPortal screencasts are created by community members for the purpose of presenting a brief guided tour of their institution's portal, showing off a locally developed portlet that might be of interest to others, or offering training in a specific skill.
Thanks to Erik Olsson and Katya Sadovsky from University of California-Irvine, Thierry Koscielniak from l'Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Anne-Marie Scott from University of Edinburgh, and Jim Helwig from University of Wisconsin-Madison for providing our initial samples.
Many thanks also to Unicon’s Gary Thompson for “managing the factory” and doing all the post-production work on the screencasts.
Would you like to show off some of your institution’s work in a screencast? Please send email to info@jasig.org for more information.
Enjoy,
Jonathan Markow
