The Westin Bayshore is ideally located on the ocean, steps from Stanley Park,
but still very near all of the attractions of downtown Vancouver. This gorgeous four-star,
four-diamond resort was the winner of the 2005 Conde

The contemporary, west-coast style of the Westin lends itself to
comfort and easy use for all types of travelers. Every
room features Westin's signature Heavenly Bed® and includes high-speed Internet
(wireless optional), for a cost of CAD$14.95 per day, or $19 includes unlimited
local and long-distance calls within Canada and the U.S. Enjoy
floor-to-ceiling sliding patio doors maximizing your city, park or harbour
views.
JA-SIG has negotiated a
special rate of CAD$219 per night for a single or double occupancy room.
This rate is subject to provincial (10%) and federal (7%) taxes. In order to
confirm your reservation, you must provide a major credit card. The credit card
will only hold the room and will not be charged at the time that the reservation
is made. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee of CAD$50 should advise
the hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.
Reservations can be cancelled until 4:00 p.m., 24 hours prior to the day of
arrival, without penalty if a cancellation number is obtained.
Group rates will be offered
over the nights of June 3-6, 2006 and may be available at the group rate 3 days
before and three days after, based on availability. The JA-SIG room block will
be held until May 1, 2006. After this date, the rooms will be released
and reservations will be taken based on availability.

Attractions |
There are a number of areas and attractions within close
proximity of the Westin Bayshore.
Robson
Street (walking distance). Vancouver's Rodeo Drive, Robson Street is
considered the main restaurant and shopping district in downtown.
Granville Island (across town). The largest public market featuring
fresh fruits, vegetables, and seafood ready to eat or ready to pack. Also
on Granville Island are local artists, their shops,
studios, galleries, and boutiques.
Yaletown and Granville
Street(across town). The trendiest part
of the city, definitely the youngest part of town with lots of clubs, taverns,
and pubs.
Gastown (walking distance): Gastown
was named after "Gassy Jack", a flamboyant riverboat captain. Lining
the brick streets are numerous small shops, bars, restaurants, art galleries,
and theatres.

Travel To Vancouver

Vancouver is easy to get to
and the following airlines provide service: Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, America
West Airlines, American, Continental, Northwest, TWA, and United. A number of
international airlines also provide service to Vancouver.
U.S. citizens
need to carry proof of citizenship, a passport, or a birth or baptismal
certificate along with a current US driver’s license. Naturalized US citizens
should carry documents proving citizenship (i.e., a green card). Overseas
visitors will need a valid passport and possibly an entry visa depending on
their home country.

Ground Transportation
The YVR Airporter departs
from outside the baggage claim area of the airport, approximately every 20
minutes, to downtown hotels including the Westin, beginning at 8:55 a.m. daily.
