JA-SIG Denver - uPortal: Open Architecture for the Enterprise
Sunday, June 20 through Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the Westin Westminster in Denver, Colorado.

The JA-SIG is pleased to welcome our colleagues to Colorado's beautiful front range at the Westin Westminster.

The Denver conference tracks will include:

  • Implementations - Implementations of uPortal, of channels, of web apps that provide content for your portal. Share your methods, share your approach, share your lessons learned.
  • Open Applications - This track reflects all aspects of open applications in relation to uPortal including open standards, architectures, integration, and of course, open source. Proposals should refer to particular applications and projects, or to general experiences with and lessons learned about creating, contributing to, or using open source.
  • Technical - Strategies for channel development, LDAP integration, database connectors, performance and scaling strategies. Share your lessons and your successes.

The Java in Administration Special Interest Group (JA-SIG) is an independent organization designed to increase the flow of information between educational institutions and companies involved in the development of administrative applications using Java technology.

The JA-SIG conference goals are to:

  • Nurture communication of best practices, new technologies, and innovative methodologies and projects related to Java
  • Increase peer review, collaboration, and group discussion related to institution-developed Java administrative applications
  • Broaden Java technology cross-fertilization between firms and schools on both a functional and geographic basis
