SMCC uses CAS to authenticate 20,000 students, faculty, adjuncts, and staff from our Windows Server 2008 Active Directory domains to Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution (JICS), NetPartner financial aid system, Google Apps for Education, BlackBoard Learn, and an in-house alternative student information system titled My Maine Guide. We also authenticate college candidates to JICS from Jenzabar's Active Directory Application Mode LDAP environment (a lightweight Active Directory system).
Our CAS implementation was done entirely in-house and it would not have been possible without the help of our Computer Technology-major intern, Brandon LaBerge.
